The people we love are thieves. They steal our hearts. They steal our breath. They steal our sanity. And we let them. Over and over and over again. ********************************************* They say you never forget your first time. Mine was with a homeless musician who effed my brains out under a bridge. He was my first love. And fourteen years later, I still can’t get him out of my head. He broke all my rules. He also broke my heart. I watched him climb to stardom, cheering him on from afar. But I was never a fan; just a girl in love. Like a tornado, he spiraled, leaving a path of destruction in his wake. But love conquers all, right? It has to. Because here I stand, ravaged and ruined, needing it to be true. You can’t go back, but I want to. Back to the bridge. Back to when he sang only for me. Before he was famous. Before he shattered my heart. I thought I knew everything about him. But I could not have been more wrong. He promised me every tomorrow. And here I am, waiting. And hoping. Again.

About the Author: I have a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles and of course, the sweet girls that try to tame them and win their hearts. My first novel in the best-selling Ashes & Embers series, Storm, published in September of 2014. I have many books and sequels slated for this series. My new spin-off series, Devils Wolves, launched in 2016 with the best-selling novel, Torn. There are several books planned for this series as well. Born and raised a Jersey girl, I now reside in beautiful New Hampshire with my husband and our multitude of furry pets and spend most of my time writing, reading, and vacuuming. EXCERPT

EMMA I grab my phone as I head to the bedroom, I’ve had it off since I called Jimmy. Once it boots up, my notifications go crazy. Text messages, missed phone calls, voicemails, Facebook messages, you name it, I have one. Over a hundred in total and all from the same three numbers, Javier, and his cronies are looking for me. I just stare at my phone. I don’t know what to do, I knew he would be looking for me, but I thought I would have more time. Suddenly someone taps me on the shoulder, and I scream. Oh my God! What the fuck is wrong with you?! “Woah, you okay?” Katie says from behind me. “Yes, you just startled me.” Embarrassment heating my cheeks. Katie wraps her arms around me and squeezes me in a tight hug. “You’re okay, you’re safe,” she says into my hair. I hesitate before wrapping my arms around her and squeeze her back. “Thanks,” I say into her shoulder before letting her go. She takes me in for a moment. “No problem.” “So, what happened to your face?” Avery says. Amber lets out a laugh and Katie sighs. “Really, Avery?” I can’t help but laugh too. “You were wondering it too!” Avery retorts. “Of course I was, but I have tact!” Katie says, crossing her arms over her chest. “When has anyone accused me of having tact?” “Anyway! What happened to your face?” Amber pipes up. All three of them look at me. “I fell…” I mumble. “And I’m the Queen of England.” “Fine, my ex liked to throw me around. Happy now?” I can’t help but get angry at them and myself for the situation I find myself in. “And that’s why you’re here? Jimmy helped you?” Katie questions. I nod my head ‘yes’ as I take them in, all sitting on the bed that I’m currently calling mine. “Listen to me, babe. You don’t have anything to be ashamed of. Whoever this asshole was, you deserve so much better,” Amber says. I smile at the memory. “Jimmy shot him. Twice.” “YEAH! That’s my boy!” Avery shouts. Everyone laughs, so far, I’m liking these girls. “So, what’s the story with you and Jimmy?” I ask Amber and Avery. “Psht, just some shit went down, and a guy got thrown through a window,” Avery responds. “We replaced the window and got him a security system, I don’t know why he’s still so bent about it,” Amber says, rolling her eyes. “Okay, time for the fashion show!” Katie exclaims.

A wild ride of sex, love, and tequila that shows there is more to love than boy meets girl. Sometimes you have to get a little creative to find your happily ever after.

Raised in California, I’m a crunchy mom, save the whales and the rain forests, hippy. I married a sexy man in uniform who let me spawn and am now raising a mutinous army of hell raisers that I created myself, all while he defends our country. I drink too much coffee until it's late enough to drink too much wine and am sexually frustrated for your freedom. If you see me online, I'm probably sitting in a closet, hiding from my kids.

Fluent in sarcasm, Supernatural, and song lyrics, I like talking to people and finding what makes them tick, though that probably has to do with the Psychology degree. I’m up before the sun because my kids don’t sleep, chugging tea and coffee to keep my eyes open and my brain semi functional. Being married to a man in uniform means I’ve lived a lot of places, survived seeing my husband for half the amount of time I’ve been married, and spent a lot of time raising my kids alone.

I love to write messed up psychos with lots of angst, happily ever afters that have to be worked for. Women with sass and backbone, men with a twisted hero complex and the need to control are my favorite to read as well as write.

BLURB:

Ronan Byrne, the oldest of the Byrne Brothers, is the hottest bachelor in the small town of Blossom, Nevada. With his jet black hair, sapphire eyes, and a body sculpted by manual labor and not a personal trainer, every woman wants him in her bed. But he wants a challenge, not a woman who fawns all over him. However, with the financial trouble his family's dude ranch is having, he has no inclination to date, let alone get married. Then he meets a mystery blonde who won't give him the time of day, and he is instantly drawn to her. She is Blakely Pierce, a Manhattan businesswoman who is in town to serve as maid of honor at her best friend's wedding. With her demanding career, she has no interest in romance, but unbeknownst to her, Ronan is the best man at the same wedding to be held at the ranch. The more she ignores him, the more he is curious about her and why she keeps running away from him. He refuses to give up on Blakely because he knows she is worth the fight, but he only has so long until it's time for Blakely to return to her life in New York City.

CHECK OUT THIS EXCERPT!!!

“You know something, Ronan,” she began saying, her voice shaking, “you don’t know anything about me. I have a good life. And I can’t wait to get back to Manhattan once this week is over.” Blakely began to walk off as Ronan scrambled to his feet. “Where are you going?” “Back!” “Oh, for crying out loud! Will you just stop?” She kept walking despite the sound of Ronan’s boots behind her. He grabbed her roughly by the arms and pulled her towards the nearest tree, pressing her against it. Blakely pushed her hands into his hard chest with all her strength to get him to release her. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” “Come on, Blakely. I’m sorry. Listen to me. I know why we always end up arguing.” “So do I. Because you’re a Neanderthal who’s a stubborn ass to boot!” “No! It’s because we want each other.” Blakely laughed, her hands now forming into fists, pounding on Ronan’s chest. “Are you out of your mind? I don’t want you! Now just let me go!” “No, Blakely, you let go.” “What?” Ronan’s voice dropped a few octaves. “Let go.” The calm in his voice momentarily stopped Blakely from pummeling him. Ronan slowly encircled her with his arms, wrapping Blakely against him. The moment was fleeting, because now Blakely felt truly trapped by him, under his control. Stop! Please stop! Ronan watched in shock as she suddenly transformed into a wild animal, her entire body flailing against him, her hair flying all around her as if she were an untamed beast. A savage going into self-preservation mode by doing anything it can to protect itself from an unwelcome presence. “Blakely, calm down, please,” he pleaded with her. “You’re safe. Just let go.” “No! You let go!” “I’m not going to hurt you. Just let go. Let go of it all.” I’m safe. A gaze of recognition crossed Blakely’s face as she looked up into Ronan’s eyes. She stopped moving as her heart beat furiously, desperate for oxygen. Ronan spoke barely above a whisper. “I’m here, Blakely. I’ve got you."

I'll never stop fighting for her...no matter the stakes. Lucas… A year ago I found out I was a long lost prince. But with one lie, that’s all been undone. But prince or pauper, I’m not going to stop fighting for Bryna. She may be the only thing I can count on right now. Bryna… I never meant to get in so deep with my royal roommate—but in my defense I didn't know. If anyone else finds out his royal status my mother will meddle faster than you can say gold digger. More importantly, Lucas’s life could be in danger. Because I’m not the only one with secrets. And there’s a lot more at stake than heartbreak. NOTE: This is a sequel - you must have read Royal Bastard to understand Bastard Prince!

Lucas… Don’t get in trouble, they said. Don’t cause an incident. Oops. I might be a newfound prince, but that doesn’t mean I’m ready to say goodbye to my days of freedom. So when my brother, the king, asks me to babysit a diplomat’s daughter, my first thought is to say no… that is until I see her climbing out of a window with her dress tucked into her thong. She might just be my kind of girl. I just thought I'd mix business with pleasure...I didn’t plan to lose control of my heart. Bryna… I’ve been groomed by my parents to climb the social ladder all my life and I’m done with it. I want nothing from their royal world. Now that I’m finally on my own, I can live where I want, date who I want, do who I want. The one person I won’t be doing? My new accidental roommate. Oh, he’s gorgeous and mysterious, and cheeky. He’s also friends with the king and a total jackass. So basically, he’s never gonna get it...famous last words. (Book 1, Royals Undone) About the Author: USA Today Bestselling Author, NANA MALONE’s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she borrowed from her cousin on a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana at a precocious thirteen. She’s been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters. Waiting for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, Nana, meantime works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is. The books in her series have been on multiple Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble best seller lists as well as the iTunes Breakout Books list and most notably the USA Today Bestseller list. Until that ninja job comes through, you’ll find Nana working hard on additional books for her series as well as other fun, sassy romances for characters that won’t leave her alone. And if she’s not working or hiding in the closet reading, she’s acting out scenes for her husband, daughter and puppy in sunny San Diego. Want to hit me up? Varius Payne is a guilty pleasure that tempts a girl to sin.
He’s a devil in bed, and every night in his arms promises paradise.
Our agreement was simple—no names, no details, no confessions beyond our need for each other.
…Until the day we came face-to-face outside our secret hotel room, working together to coordinate his small-town Christmas pageant.
Varius needs a savior, but I’m no angel. And saving him from his demons risks my own heart.
It’d be a match made in Heaven…
If it hadn’t detoured through Hell.

Sosie Frost is no stranger to quirky, embarrassing, and wild situations, and she’s channeling all that new adult angst into fun romances.

From marching at the high school homecoming game without her trumpet (a punishment for forgetting the instrument on the band bus), to regretfully tucking her prom dress into the back of her tights before pictures, and even accidentally starting a chemical fire in the college chem lab, Sosie has the market cornered on crazy stories.

But hey, writing is a better outlet than therapy right? šŸ˜‰

Sosie lives in Pittsburgh with her hubby, her two cats, and thrives on a near constant stream of gummy bears.

Melrose,

The first time I met you, you were a stranger. The second time, you were my roommate. The third time, you made it clear you were about to become the biggest thorn my side had ever known.

You sing way too loud in the shower and use all the hot water.

You’re bossy as hell.

You make my life all kinds of complicated.

But no matter how hard I try, I can’t stop thinking about you.

And truthfully … I can’t stop wanting you.

I was going to tell you this. I was going to sit you down, swallow my pride, hang up my noncommittal ways and show you a side of me you nor anyone else has ever seen before … but then you dropped a game-changing bombshell; a confession so nuclear it stopped me in my tracks.

How I didn’t see this coming, I’ll never know.

Sutter

P.S. I miss you.

I’m standing outside Melrose’s door, two sweaty beer bottles under one arm as I knock.
“Go away, Sutter,” she calls, voice stuffy.
I knock again.
“Go. Away,” she says.
A third knock should do it. A fourth if I must. I’m not going anywhere tonight.
Seconds later, the door swings open with a hard pull and Melrose’s frown neutralizes when she sees the drinks in my hand.
“What’s this?” she asks.
“You look like you had a rough night.” I hand hers over, but she doesn't accept it right away.
Her tired stare rests on my outstretched hand. “Why are you being so nice to me?”
“Weirding you out too, huh?”
I manage to get the smallest smile out of her. I think. It’s gone before I can be sure.
Finally taking my generous gift, Melrose raises her brows and takes a swig. “Guess not.”
“You want to talk about it?” I ask, hooking my hand behind my neck. I’m terrible at these kinds of things and I don’t like to talk for the sake of talking, but I’ve come this far.
“Is your girlfriend gone?” She ignores my question.
“Acquaintance. And yeah. I sent her home.”
“You did?” Her forehead crinkles, like she doesn’t believe it.
I nod. And I don’t believe it myself. I’ve never put sex on the back burner so I could comfort some crying chick.
“I need to let Murphy out.” Melrose scoops the wrinkly beast into her arms and treks downstairs, cutting through the living room and kitchen to get to the backyard.
I follow, stepping out to the patio and sliding the door closed behind me. Murphy trots off, disappearing somewhere in the dark yard, and Melrose takes a seat on one of the steps. The moonlight makes her shine almost, painting a glow onto her bronzed skin and silky hair.
“So … you’re okay then?” I ask, picking at the label on my bottle. It occurs to me that I still haven't thanked her for folding my shirts the other day, but this doesn't feel like the right time.
“You don’t have to do this,” she says.
“Do what?”
“Feel sorry for me,” she says, turning and glancing up. “I don’t need your pity.”
“I don’t feel sorry for you. I don’t even know what happened,” I say. “But judging by the way you were dressed when you came home … I’m thinking it had to do with some douche.”
“You were right, Sutter.” She picks at the label on her bottle. “I went out with Robert McCauley tonight.”
My chest tightens. I already know where this is going.
