I really enjoyed this story. I loved that the storyline was not your typical historical romance. For me I want something new and fresh and the author definitely delivered it with this story. The characters were amazing together. Great banter and a lot of passion for one another. I look forward to reading more from the author!

I like Carli from the start. She has a big heart and she is sweet. She loves everyone and everything except for Gio, at first anyways.
Gio seems to be a good guy but he tends to make a mess of things with how he handles things and tries to take care of things. His actions seems to end up getting him in more trouble more often and not.
These two when they do get together have amazing chemistry and you can definitely feel their intensity in the story. A must read!
