I took a deep breath and clawed my fingers into the old worn wood of the
counter. My body shook with anger. I wanted to bust through the glass and hold
her, to tell her everything was going to be okay, but I couldn’t lie to her
anymore. I had no idea if things would ever be okay again.
If she went back to my brother, Gabriella would be nothing but a ghost to
me. I was haunted in many ways, and losing her would leave me in purgatory,
where the doomed, broken, and dangerous were meant to be.
“Goodbye, Sebastian,” she sobbed my name and hung up the phone with a

Gabriella was looking for a man to give her everything that she lost when her parents died. She thought Kendrick was that man and she married him.
She soon realizes she was wrong and made a mistake. When she meets his younger brother Sebastian she knows he is the man for her.
Sebastian was sent to prison by his brother for five years. Meeting Gabriella he wants to help her in any way. He helps her get away from Kendrick and to get a divorce. When he gets out of prison he is set on revenge.
This story was amazing with a lot of twist an turns that you would never see coming. Outstanding characters that you fall in love with. A hit for me!
